Will Ferrell knows how to throw a party!
The "Barbie" star and comedian stole the show at parents weekend at the University of Southern California during a tailgate party ahead of the school's big football game against the University of Arizona Wildcats.
Ferrell, whose eldest son Magnus is a sophomore at USC, took a page from his 2003 film "Old School" in returning to his alma mater. Instead of an attempt to relive his glory days, the actor took center stage as DJ at a Sigma Alpha Mu fraternity party.
In videos shared to social media, Ferrell had a crowd of hundreds of college students dancing to Survivor's "Eye of the Tiger" and Jay-Z and Kanye West's collaboration "(Expletive) in Paris," the latter of which includes a snippet from his movie "Blades of Glory."
The "Strays" actor was all business in a backwards USC cap, sunglasses, a zip-up sweatshirt and headphones while he worked a turntable.
In addition to Ferrell's son Magnus attending USC, the actor is a 1990 graduate of the university with a bachelor's degree in sports information.
Ferrell has been back to his alma mater several times since graduation, most notably in 2017 when he delivered the commencement speech and received an honorary doctorate degree.
"It is incredibly surreal, one might even say unbelievable, that I get to deliver this address to you. As a freshman in the fall of 1986, if you were to come up to me and say that in the year 2017 you, Will Ferrell, will be delivering the commencement address for USC, I would have hugged you with tears in my eyes," he told the USC class of 2017.

Ferrell recounted all the times during his four years at USC when he subconsciously prepared for life as a comedian and trusted his intuition despite getting a degree aimed at sports broadcasting.
"To those of you graduates sitting out there who have a pretty good idea of what you’d like to do with your life, congratulations. For many of you who maybe don’t have it all figured out, it’s okay. That's the same chair that I sat in," he added. "Enjoy the process of your search without succumbing to the pressure of the result."
Ferrell ended with words of encouragement. "Trust your gut, keep throwing darts at the dartboard. Don't listen to the critics and you will figure it out," he said.
